In the April of 2011 the eggs manufacturer joined-stock company “Balticovo”started to deliver regulary its production to Czech market. As a result, in the last year the company swept 7% of this market.
In the last year “Bolticovo” got the right to sell its production in the retail store networks “Ahold” and “Tesco” that hold 9.7% and 8.1% of the market appropriately. Every month the company provides every network with about 5 million eggs. But now the manufacturer came to agreement about increase of deliveries till 30% in the 2013.
But Balticovo decided to go the whole hog and to increase by 30% its deliveries to Czech regional shops.
According to the company’s commercial director Edgar Lesnieks, there are not any retail nework that swept more than 10% of the market in Czech Republic. On his opinion, it is unique for Europe. As a comparison, there three main retail networks collar about 65% of the market in the other European countries, but in Czech Republic main networks collar just 28%.
Mr. Lesnieks added, tha it is really hard to enter this market. It is necessary certificates that confirm high quality of the product. In addition, consumers also have high aspirations. “Balticovo is the one manufacturer in the Baltic states that meets all these specifications and standards,” – noticed the company’s representative.
